Like the way you worked the smoke swirls. Very nice piece and subject. I am a fan of the movie and the character.

As far as giving an advanced critique...
The overall depth of the shadows around her face seems too dark on the left side as opposed to the right. Mind you that the smoke would cause a slight shadowing effect it does seem morepronounced and seems to throw off the initial centering of the perspective view off. Just my opinions and hopefully some insight from my view and take of the image for your constructive reasoning.

Yes, I see exactly what you're pointing out...I notice it a lot more now that you say it. The reference photo was very dark on that side, but not quite as dark as in mine. I'm thinking a bit lighter around the chin and lower cheek, and just a tiny bit lighter on the cheek bone.

I'd love to hear your exact thoughts on where and how much to lighten (for a little extra help). We're gonna sort of have to wing it at this point, because like I said, the reference was so dark.

Thank you very much for the critique and the :+fav:. :)

I hear ya. Sometimes its harder to get the actual finesse of the image when using a photo that has a lot of contrast values. Sometimes it works well because it allows a fine line of detail but on the otherhand, if it is a faint grade of change it is harder to find that point of proper tones. Either way it came out pretty good.
